Horizontal Lifelines, often referred to as mansafe systems, safety cable systems, fall arrest systems, fall restraint systems or harness lines are an anchorage system designed to protect one or more people working at height. They are commonly installed on rooftops providing safe access for periodic maintenance purposes. They are utilised in many sectors and applications from high level walkways to train depots and cranes.
The lifeline can be used as a Fall Arrest system and also a Fall Restraint system, further minimising risk to the end users. The Horizontal Lifeline enables the end user to connect to the line to move freely without needing to disconnect from it to accomplish any movement and the unique design of these anchors combined with the often superior shock-absorbing materials means that the systems can be top-fixed to most modern roof constructions.
It operates horizontally and along inclines and can easily accommodate multiple simultaneous users when designed suitably.
We also have extensive experience installing horizontal track systems. They typically consist of a permanently fixed rail or track to the underneath or outside of the structure complete with mobile wheeled carriages which the operative will connect to. They can be used effectively for Fall Arrest / Fall restraint purposes due to the rigid nature of the track and ability to provide no deflection during Fall Arrest and can often be found in train depots and warehouses when working o top of vehicles when only a small ground clearance.

Vertical safety systems are most commonly found on fixed ladders to protect users when climbing and egressing. These systems are found in two main constructions, cable based systems and rigid track based systems.
Vertical safety systems can be fitted to new or existing ladders and provide a level of protection far superior to safety cages.

Mobile man anchors or Deadweight anchors are a solution which can be adopted temporarily or permanently when fall protection is required but penetrating the roof surface is not preferred.
Safety should be the priority of anyone working at height, but sometimes you need a smaller problem rectifying without wanting to put an extensive and time-consuming set of safety measures in place. This is where the freestanding mobile weight anchor comes in. The deadweight anchor is versatile whether you need a permanent single anchor, a temporary anchor or a horizontal lifeline.
